#1 ranked Detroit King and #12 ranked De La Salle ran right at each other on Saturday afternoon for 48 minutes of a game that didn't even take 2 hours total to complete. When it was said and done the Pilots of De La Salle were the last man standing up, 14-13.

With about 3 minutes left in the game, Detroit King 2019 QB Dequan Finn rushed for a touchdown to make the score 14-13, King decided to try the PAT and the snap to the holder was low and the score remained 14-13.

The Pilots then picked up a first down with another strong run from 2018 RB Cordell Tannyhill to run out the clock.

The Pilots continued to receive major contributions from Luke Pfromm who nearly didn't play this year to focus on Basketball. Pfromm had a 1-yard quarterback sneak on the Pilots first offensive possession for a touchdown and threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to an open Jake Badalamenti with 8 minutes left. Riley Garrison nailed the extra point which at the time didn't seem like much, but it proved to be the difference.

De La Salle OLB/S's Jake Dobbs and Brendan Madigan had phenomenal games on defense and seemed to be in on every tackle.

King QB Dequan Finn was unstoppable when rushing the ball on Saturday and had an incredible touchdown pass where he found 2020 WR Rashawn Williams after scrambling and delivered the pass near the line of scrimmage. The touchdown made the score 7-7 in the 3rd quarter.

De La Salle will play KLAA team, #29 ranked Livonia Franklin at 1 pm on Friday, 11/24 at Ford Field for the Division 2 State Championship.
