Game Preview and Prospects The D Zone will be seeing at Renaissance and Communication Media & Arts (Story)
The D Zone will be covering this Thursday afternoon game as Renaissance (5-3) will host Communications Media and Art (1-7). The Phoenix of Renaissance have a lot to get out of this game, they must win to clinch a playoff birth. The world won't end if they lose, they still might get in at 5-4 but following a shutout loss to Cass Tech, Renaissance wants to get back on track before the playoffs begin.
Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.
Renaissance:
2021 CB Robert Army is a 6'1 175 lbs CB/WR who has a major role for the Phoenix on both sides of the ball. Army is a long and lengthy player with good speed. Army is the #9 ranked prospect in the Class of 2021. Army had an insane week 7 with 2 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and 1 of his touchdowns went viral.
2020 QB Raequan Beal is a 6'4 200 lbs QB who is ranked by The D Zone as the #21 player in the Class of 2020 and holds a Central Michigan offer. Beal is nice prospect who is improving and has a strong/accurate arm.
2020 TE/WR/LB Jerome Nichols is a versatile 6'1 215 lbs prospect who tracks the ball well.
2019 MLB Dakarai Washington is a 6' 220 lbs linebacker prospect who is a sure-tackler, fills gap, and can move well with pretty good athleticism. Washington holds an NAIA offer from Lawrence Tech + Mount Union roster spot.
2022 DT/OT Darrell Lipscomb is a 6'2 265 lbs lineman who does well as a Nose Guard and also plays Left Tackle. Limpscomb is athletic for his size and age so we'll be seeing what else he does in the future.
2021 RB Justin Whitehorn is a 5'8 165 lbs RB who holds an offer from Akron.
2021 WR Darnell Adams is a 5'10 165 lbs receiver who has really stepped up for the Phoenix.
2021 WR/CB Jeff Bowens Jr. is a 5'10 155 lbs upcoming player for the Phoenix.
Communications Media and Arts:
2019 DE/TE Freddie Burr III is a nice physical presence who you'll see in the backfield a few times in this game as he has a strong motor and bursts well. Burr is extremely raw but appears to be around 6'1-6'2 range and 215 lbs.
