#12 Forest Hills Central fell at home to #23 West Ottawa in double overtime. A failed fake PAT by Forest Hills Central in the 2nd overtime ended the game, setting off a raucous celebration by West Ottawa. The quarterbacks took over the overtime periods as each scored 2 touchdowns.

We'll break down their performances below:

West Ottawa:

2019 QB Isaac Van Dyke had a courageous performance for the Panthers, as the senior QB led West Ottawa from down 14-3, scoring 25 straight points and was instrumental in overtime. Van Dyke didn't have a great 2nd half besides for the opening drive, but still remained composed and was unstoppable in overtime. Van Dyke threw for 173 yards and 1 touchdowns as well as 134 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Van Dyke also caught a 2-point conversion that made the score 28-14. Van Dyke is good enough to play at the Division 1-FCS level with the right fit. Van Dyke is 6'1 200 lbs.

2019 S Jason Fairfield is coming off an incredible junior season and is showing that he has only gotten better. The 6' 165 lbs prospect picked off Forest Hills Central 3 times on Thursday. Fairfield set a single-season record as a junior and could be on his way to breaking his own record. Fairfield came up as well to make several tackles through the night. One of his interceptions, he was alone with Tate Hallock but adjusted better to a poorly thrown ball.

2021 WR Blake Bosma who is 6'3 175 was targeted early and often by Van Dyke. The sophomore made some nice catches with good routes early in the game and caught a nice touchdown pass early in the 3rd quarter. Bosma is definitely a player with Division 1 capability and will be scary good with a bit more explosive in leaps and more speed, which come in due time.

2019 LB Jake Holstege was one of the top tacklers during the night as his #4 jersey was seemingly on every play. The Senior LB read and reacted well to the ball and tackled well. Holstege is 6'2 185 lbs.

2021 TE Dominic Overway wasn't used or stood out as much in the passing game, but the 6'2 180 lbs sophomore did add a dimension to the offense that FHC had to worry about and blocked well during the game. Overway will be a player to look out for down the line.

Forest Hills Central:

2019 WR/S Tate Hallock was on another level on Thursday night as he returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Hallock ran to his right, cut back, and was off to the races. It set the tone for the Rangers as they would take an early 14-3 lead. Hallock remained a strong component for the Rangers on both sides of the ball with a few catches on offense and defensively moved between S and OLB. Later in the game, Hallock took a sweep for a 78 yard touchdown run. Hallock finished strong with a huge block on the final touchdown of the game.

2019 DE Kyle Wojczynski was the Rangers top defender as he controlled the line of scrimmage and sheds through blocks well. He's definitely a solid contain DE prospect as we noticed last year, he doesn't get a great pass rush but he doesn't need to get in the backfield every play as he's always bringing down the ball-carrier.

2019 CB Cam Deines is a nice CB prospect at 5'10 170 lbs, had an overall solid game with strong coverage on several plays and came up with a few tackles.

2019 QB/S Luke Majick who is 6' 180 lbs and committed to Furman for Lacrosse had a strong game on the ground with 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 passing touchdown. Majick found Jimmy Scholler who is a basketball recruit in the 1st quarter for his lone touchdown pass.

2019 OLB/TE Jay Shields caught our attention throughout the game but on the defensive side of the ball, with several nice tackles through his gap lanes and open field tackles. Shields really grabbed our attention late as he became a vital threat in the passing game.
