Prospects The D Zone will be seeing at Zeeland East and Zeeland West (Story + Game Preview)

The D Zone's Jeff Corrion will be at Zeeland Stadium on Friday night as technically Zeeland West hosts Zeeland East in a very evenly matched game. Currently East is #30 in the state and West is #33 in state. Records in the past have meant very little in this game, this year it's tough to say one is much better than the other and they'll likely be playing again in Playoff Districts.

Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.

Zeeland East:

2019 DE/OT Adam Berghorst is the #22 ranked player in the Class of 2019 by The D Zone and is committed to Michigan State. At 6'7 255 lbs Berghorst is a towering figure who will be key on both sides of the ball. The biggest problem in facing a run heavy team like West is stopping them and not letting them eat up large chunks of yards and time, so as a DE he'll be vital.

2019 OLB/TE Boone Bonnema is committed to Western Michigan and is the #54 ranked prospect in the state. Bonnema is 6'3 210 lbs and we expect to be coming downhill; filling gaps and making tackles all game.

2019 QB/CB Gabe Taylor is an explosive athlete who forms a dynamic rushing duo with Josh Fusco. Taylor recently picked up his first offer from Ferris State and will visit CMU on Saturday. We look to see Taylor all over the field on Friday.

2019 RB/S Joshua Fusco is a hard-nosed but athletically gifted player who should hit 1k rushing yards on the season in the 1st quarter. Fusco is one of the top senior RB's in the state at 5'11 200 lbs and he holds 4 offers.

2022 QB/LB Tag Bonnema is a 6'4 197 lbs freshman who already holds an offer from Western Michigan. He's hearing from Big 10 programs already.

2019 OC/DT Sage Kraai 6' 240 lbs interior lineman prospect.

2019 OG/DT Devyn Ramirez is a 5'8 295 interior mauler for the Chix.

Zeeland West:

2019 LB Ross Bolman is a nice prospect that we rank at #81 overall in the Class of 2019. Bolman who is 6'1 205 lbs is a freight traini hitting LB and holds a D1-FCS offer from Dayton.

2019 S/TE Mason Bakker is a 6'5 210 lbs prospect who may be leaning towards basketball but is certainly a player who could get strong interest for football with his size and how well he moves. Bakker also played QB and could be plugged in just about anywhere on the field.

2020 RB Chase Peddie is the Dux big playmaker on offense and is a player that East can't overlook. Peddie is 5'8 175 lbs.

2019 OT Zane Brooks is a 6'2 280 lbs lineman prospect.
