The 4-time defending champions West Catholic will take a short drive to Portland for this decisive Division 5 game. Since beating West Catholic in the 2012 state finals Portland has watched the Falcons win 4 straight state finals. In 2 of those years, West Catholic knocked out the Raiders in the playoffs. West Catholic is definitely the better team on paper and is loaded with talent, it will be a great atmosphere on Friday night.

Region 4:

Algonac will meet unbeaten Frankenmuth over the weekend at Frankenmuth in what should be a great game. Algonac is fresh off of a war with Ida that they won 24-16. Frankenmuth didn't have many scares vs. Marine City this past week. Algonac's lone loss is from Marine City, they have since reeled off 10 straight wins.

Prediction: Frankenmuth 23-16
