Week 2 Student Section Showdown 2017, Power Rankings

We have reviewed all submits that were sent to us through: #TheDZone #SSS on Twitter through 2 weeks. We have broken through the hashtags and have released a top 10 list, in order of schools who have submitted. Remember these are Power Rankings, so they are heavily judged on what we received this past week and not from submits in the past.

This competition is heavily influenced by which student sections follow the rules and demonstrate their school pride.

*Huge week 3 bonus point: All tweeted pictures submitted between 7:45 pm - 8:20 pm on September 8th, will be worth double points. It's our hope this timeframe aligns with halftime of games.

With the release of our new website which is now fully accessible, We'll soon have plans to tie in our new website and this particular competition so keep eyes out for both announcements. For week 3 we encourage all student sections to continue tweeting their pictures; pre, during, and post game using the hashtags #TheDZone #SSS and either mention your student section account or name your high school, so we can identify.


1. Rochester Adams - The Cumm Zone was behind their two Rochester counterparts entering the week, but went insane in week 2 leading each graded category of the competition and let's not forget in the students excitement was that the Highlanders defeated Lake Orion on the road comfortably.

2. Rochester - The Falcons had a huge week and most weeks its worthy of a #1 spot but it wasn't mean to be their week yet.

3. Stoney Creek - The SCHS Core had a good week despite being on the road again, but the 2016 defending champions are going to be hungry to return back to the top.

4. Bedford - The Mules make a huge rise this week with a road trip to Toledo behind them, look for Bedford to remain involved in the top tier.

5. Chippewa Valley - The Rowdy Red Zone was out in full force to witness a big win over Romeo while the submits remained consistent through the night.
