Detroit King 2023 CB/WR Jameel Croft will enter the MHSAA record book with his INT's

Detroit King 2023 CB/WR Jameel Croft has 4 interceptions returned for touchdowns so far this year which is an unreal amount, but it's even crazier to know, he's only the 3rd person ever to have 4 interceptions returned for TD's in a season.

Maurice Cooper from Nouvel has the record with 6 interceptions returned for touchdowns in 1984. In 1987 Troy Goetz from Ottawa Lake Whiteford had 4 which now is a tie with Jameel Croft.

Croft is also 1 of 38 players ever in Michigan to have an interception returned for a touchdown in excess of 100 yards. The MHSAA doesn't count yardage in the endzone for the longest interception return. Croft's pick-six vs. Mumford appears to be returned for 102 yards, but it'll go down in the record books as a 100 yarder.

Cole Giesige of Ottawa Lake Whiteford was the last player to have a 100 yard interception returned for a touchdown on 10/15/2021.
