Khari Willis becomes the first player from Lumen Christi and 1st from Jackson County since 1998 to be Drafted in the NFL (Story)

Khari Willis made history for the juggernaut, Lumen Christi High School on Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly Willis is the first player ever from Lumen Christi to be drafted into the NFL.

The Indianapolis Colts drafted Willis with the #109 pick in the 4th round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

To make matters even crazier, Willis is the first from Jackson County since Clarence Love was drafted in 1998 out of Jackson High School / Toledo.

Willis who is 5'11 210 lbs played 4 years at Michigan State, in total 46 games and started 30 of them at Safety.

Willis logged 196 tackles and 4 interceptions in his MSU career.

Lumen Christi opened as a private school in 1968 and accumulated 440 wins with just 109 losses since opening.

LC has appeared in 13 state championship games, winning 11 of them.

Kari Willis is not the first Lumen Christi graduate to be drafted. John Hankerd was drafted in 1981, after a successful career at Notre Dame.
