Walled Lake Western WR Cody White sets True Freshman Receiving Record at Michigan State

Walled Lake Western 2017 WR Cody White set the Michigan State University record for Receiving Yards in a True Freshman season during MSU's rout of Washington State in the Holiday Bowl this past week.

During the game, White caught 3 receptions for 41 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

White's 490 receiving yards for the 2017 season was the record broken. White also tallied 35 receptions during the season which are the second most as a True Freshman. Cody White also finished with 4 receiving touchdowns.

The Spartans finished with a 10-3 record in 2017 after going 3-9 in 2016.
