What separates me from everybody else on the field is that I am a leader and i demand respect. To me those go hand and hand. To lead, you must lead by example. To gain respect, you must earn it, and that is exactly what i do. I lead by example and do the extra things to better myself and my teammates. I also put the extra work in to ensure i earn respect from my teammates and other teams.
I am a smart player who knows the game of football. I can cordinate the blocking schemes before the ball is snapped. I am also a very coachable player. I will play any position that my coach needs me to, and i will give one hundred percent effort at the position. I will do whatever it takes to make my team better and i also will make plays at whatever position my coach needs me at.
As many may know, Union has struggled the past few years. We’ve had losing seasons, full of young and inexperienced players. Coming into Union my freshman year, I already played football for 6 years and won a state and national pop warner championship. I realized that i had more experience then some players and i wanted to help as much as i could. I had a personal goal of turning Union into a winning program. Ever since then i realized what high school football was all about. In the past 3 years, I’ve developed better leadership skills. I knew that i would have to become a good leader to earn my teammates respect and to one day win games. I’ve also become a tough player. Mentally and physically. You have to be tough mentally, to lose many games but still come to practice and put work in everyday. I also have become a harder worker. After losing a lot, it has motivated me to work harder, because i want to win very bad. This past year we had 5 seniors, now this upcoming season we will have 15 seniors. I am looking forward to this upcoming season, and i am thankful for my outlook on my high school football experience
I am extremely interested in playing football on the next level. I am interested because it gives me a chance to further my education and be the firsr in my family to get a degree. It also gives me a chance to continue playing the game that i love. I love every down of football, i have played since i was 8 years old, and playing on the next level in a college stadium would be a dream come true.
I recieved the Leadership/Heart award given by my team.
